About me

I live and work around Shoreditch, London. My obsession with making Internet stuff leads me to spend my days heading up the tech side at POKE. What you’re looking at is entirely my doing, though, and as you’ve probably guessed, in no way reflects POKE’s views on anything, at all, ever.

In addition to providing me with a soapbox, this site tracks what I’m up to online using feeds from Flickr, del.icio.us and others.

Red route

Red route
I like to think that these guys had stopped off to pop into Food Hall and pick up a quick spicy chicken roll and a coconut macaroon. Good job they can park where the hell they like, otherwise in my imagined scenario they'd have had to walk a number of metres.

Another accident off Kingsland Road

Another accident off Kingsland Road
Whole east side of the junction boxed off, with a big tent on the road. No smashed-up cars to be seen, so I guess it must have been a cyclist or a pedestrian. Bad news.

Busted

Busted
These two stopped and questioned this guy for a few minutes before slapping the cuffs on him. I came past again maybe 5 minutes later and they were still stood there talking to him, his hands still cuffed.

Only just

Only just
I think these guys were about to bust a squat or something, so I took the pic with the camera upside-down and pointing backwards. Amazed it managed to catch them, even if it was only just.

Incident at 333

Incident at 333
Walked past 333 on Sunday night to be treated to a display of about 15 visible police officers, an SPG van and about 4 or 5 cars. There was something going on inside; the police outside were hanging around the entrance but not going in, eyeballing everyone who went past, so this photo had to be from a distance. I overheard a few sentences as I walked through the middle of it, can't remember exactly what they said but the overall impression was of a fight-suppression episode.

Under the bridge

Under the bridge
Rotten day to put a new bridge up. Still, someone's got to make sure everything’s tickety-boo underneath, eh?
